Diwali – The Indian Festival of Lights will start this Saturday, November 14. During the festival, Hindus, Jains and Sikhs illuminate their homes, temples and work spaces with diyas, candles and lanterns Hindus, in particular, have a ritual oil bath at dawn on each day of the festival. Diwali is also marked with fireworks and the decoration of floors with rangoli designs. A simple 'happy Diwali' will do the trick, but there are other Diwali wishes you can say to anyone celebrating the festival. A traditional Diwali greeting is to say 'wishing you a Diwali that brings happiness prosperity and joy to you and all your family.
