Orange Shirt Day – Tomorrow we will be honoring Orange Shirt Day as we increase our awareness of the impact that residential schools had on thousands of Indigenous children across Canada. Please wear orange to honor this day.   

 

Truth and Reconciliation Day - On Thursday, September 30, Nova Scotia will observe the first annual Truth and Reconciliation Day. The purpose of this day is to honour those who attended Residential Schools in Canada and to acknowledge the harm and intergenerational trauma experienced by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Survivors, their families and their communities.

 

Chess Club - Chess club is back!  Come down to room # 107 today during lunch for a registration form.  Beginners welcome. Start date will be announced soon. Beat Mr. Drake and win a pizza! 

 

Girl A Volleyball - Final tryout is today from 2:30 till 4:30 pm. Please check the list on the Phys Ed bulletin board outside the gym to see if you are one of the 24 returning players.

 

String Students – reminder, you have classes today after school with Mr. Joyce.

 

GSA - There will be a GSA meeting in room # 104 tomorrow at lunch. Everyone welcome

 

Girls B Volleyball - Practice will be this Friday, October 1, at lunch. Please bring your lunch to the gym. All those players not on the “A” team are on the “B” team.

 

Stuff in the hallways – Students, don’t leave your backpacks and other stuff on the top of the lockers or in the hallways. Put it inside of your lockers.
