October is Mi'kmaq History Month -  For more than 150 years, First Nations, Inuit and Métis Nation children were taken from their families and communities to attend schools which were often located far from their homes. More than 150,000 children attended Indian Residential Schools. Many never returned. This begins our growth in acknowledging the atrocities implemented by our Canadian government, and our pledge to learn more and to honour the survivors by ensuring this never happens again.

Girls Soccer – There will be a practice today after school from 2:30 till 3:45 pm.

Boys Volleyball – There will be tryouts today at 2:30 pm in the Gym.

Co-Ed Flag Football - Tryouts will be held tomorrow at 2:30 on the field. Bring cleats, athletic apparel, and gloves if you have them.
