October is Mi'kmaq History Month - There were over 130 residential schools across Canada starting in 1831. The last school closed in 1996. That is only 26 years ago! You must ask the question: What took so long for the Indian Residential schools to close?


Girls “A” Volleyball - Players are practising today at lunch and not after school.
There will be another practice Thursday at lunch & after school 230 to 4:30 PM.


Boys Soccer – There will be a short meeting today in the Library at the start of the lunch. All players must attend.


Cross Country - There will be a practice today at the start of lunch, meet at the library.


Co Ed Football – There will be tryout today after school at 2:30 pm.


Girls Flag Football – Tryouts will be tomorrow after school at 2:30. Any questions please see Mr. A in room 222.


Girls” B” Volleyball – There will be a practice tomorrow at lunch. Girls please bring your lunch to the gym so we can start right away.


Nourish Your Roots - The farm-to-school healthy fundraiser, is coming to our school.
Boxes contain farm-fresh Nova Scotia grown produce and they are $38 each. The money raised will directly support and help sustain our school’s healthy food programs, such as Breakfast Program and Healthy Eating Initiative. Orders and payment due to school by October 21.
Orders can be picked up at our school on November 3.  For more information and order forms, please contact the office.
