International Women’s Day – is today. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The theme for this year’s observance is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. The year 2022 is pivotal for achieving gender equality in the context of climate change, and environmental and disaster risk reduction, which are some of the greatest global challenges of the twenty-first century. Without gender equality today, a sustainable future, and an equal future, remains beyond our reach. This year’s IWD observance is in recognition and celebration of the women and girls who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation and response, and to honour their leadership and contribution towards a sustainable future.

Boys Basketball – Game is today here at Fairview, after school.

Badminton - Gr. 9 Badminton team is practicing today from 2:30 till 3:30pm.

Space and Astronomy Club – The club is hosting its very first outdoor meet tonight at 7:00 pm on the school’s outdoor field. Don’t forget to bring the form signed by your parents. Forms are available in the office.

Girls Basketball – Practice is tomorrow after school from 2:30 till 4:30 pm.
