Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance – It is an annual observance on November 20 started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith. It was a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. Violence against transgender people still happens every day, and the fight for equality and acceptance is far from over. Today, we honor the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

Robotic Club - Do you want to build a robot? Do some coding during lunch? Robotics Club meets every Wednesday. In room 207-- don't forget your lunch!

Boys Basketball - There will be tryouts on Wednesday after school, from 2:30 till 4:30 PM in the gym.

GSA - The first meeting of the Fairview GSA will be held this Friday , November 24th, at lunchtime in room # 207 - all allies and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community are welcome to attend

Girls Basketball - There will be tryouts next Monday (Nov 27th ) and Tuesday (Nov 28th) during lunch time.

Clothing Order – This week is your last chance to order school clothing. Sale ends on Friday, November 24th. Clothes will be delivered to the school prior to the Dec. 21 Winter break. The link for the order can be found in the posters around the school or on the school website.
