Daily Announcements - October 28

Girls Soccer - Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team who will be heading to the League Championship after an exciting win over Halifax Grammar yesterday.  Khadija Al Kurdi scored twice, but the game went to Penalty Kicks. Lauren Peddle, Myra MacKenzie, Carmen Savary and Nahla MacKenzie all scored their penalty kicks while Goal Keeping sensation Ruby Burgess Stopped 2 out of Grammar's 4 shots! The Lions will play Gorsebrook, tomorrow at 5:15 pm at Mainland Commons for the League title. Go Lions!

 

Chess Club- There will be a meeting today in room # 223 at lunch.  All staff and students are welcome.  

 

Art Club – Meeting is today at lunchtime in room 103 (Resource Room). Please bring your sketchpad, pencil, eraser, and colored pencils to finish our activities. We will also have supplies available if needed.

 

School Dance - Dance tickets will be sold in the lobby of the main building today and tomorrow for $ 5.00. Limited amount will be also sold at the door before the dance for $7.

 

Girls’ “A” Volleyball - Practice is today after school from 2:30 to 4:30 PM

 

Boys’ Soccer - A reminder to the team we play today in their semi-final match at Glenbourne field. The game is at 5:15 pm today so all players please arrive by 4:30 pm. 

 

Student Council – There will be a meeting tomorrow in Ms. Parson’s room # 203 during lunch.

 

Boys’ “A” Volleyball – There will be a game tomorrow at Park West starting at 3 PM. You are responsible for your drives to and from Park West

 

Girls’ “B” Volleyball – There will be two practices this week: Thursday and Friday at lunch. Bring your lunch to the gym.

 

Spirit Week -Tomorrow is Decade Day – choose your favourite decade. Thursday is Anything But Backpack – be creative!
