Track-and-Field - Congratulations to all the athletes who competed in City Championship Monday and Tuesday. Both the Junior Girls and Junior Boys are City Champions!
Asian Heritage Month - Between 1880 and 1885, the Canadian Pacific Railway was completed using the labour of around 15,000 Chinese workers. They faced discrimination by being underpaid and facing the most dangerous tasks, which resulted in around 2,200 deaths.
Track-and-Field – There will be a meeting today at lunch in the gym right after the bell. All athletes must attend. Throwing events practice is today after school for all, from 2:30 till 3:30 pm.
Empowerment Workshop – Students signed up with Ms. Penny for African NS Empowerment Academy, grade 8s and 9s are asked to come to room # 201 right after second period (at 10:10), grade 6s and 7s – at lunch time right after the bell to the room # 201.
Red Dress Day – Today is Red Dress Day. This is a day where we honour and remember the many Murdered Missing Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirited people.
Asian Heritage Month - Asian heritage month was first informally celebrated since the 1990s, then officially celebrated in May of 2002, following a motion by Senator Vivienne-Poy, the first Asian-Canadian appointed to the senate.
