Asian Heritage Month - Did you know that the first Asian superhero in Marvel is actually Canadian? Simu Liu is a Chinese born actor who is well known for several shows, such as the Barbie Movie, Kim’s Convenience, and more! He starred as the main character in the movie Shang-Chi, the first Marvel superhero of Asian origins!
Track-and-Field - Attention all the athletes going to Provincials this weekend, you must immediately meet in the gym today following the lunch bell to get your permission forms and schedules. That is anyone who finished fifth place or better at Regionals.
Boys’ Softball - There will be a short meeting for all team members at the start of lunch in the gym. All players must attend to receive their permission forms.
Gauss competition - Congratulations to the following students who achieved the highest scores for Fairview Junior High in University of Waterloo Gauss competition:
-For grade 7: Ruby Burgess in 7-5 and Emily Nassar in 7-6 had the best scores
-For grade 8:Mootaz Menki and Jacob Murphy both of 8-6 had the best scores

Ringette Tournament – Congratulations to Joanna Lobban (9-6) for winning gold in the Finals of the Ringette tournament and earning Player of the Game Award. Great job!
Dungeons and Dragons - D&D club will meet today, after school in our usual rooms. If you cannot attend, please let Mr. Burke or Mr. Kloppenburg know BEFORE the scheduled meeting time.
Basketball – Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams, there will be a game on Wednesday after school, from 2:30 till 4:00 pm here at Fairview. You will be teaming up to take on the Halifax Regional Police team. Good luck!
