Lions Event Crew – Attention sports fans! Would you like to be a part of our Lions home game action? Are you organized? Responsible? Reliable? And work well with a team? The Fairview Lions are calling on you now. Lions Athletics is looking for students interested in being part of our new Lions event Crew. Our new Home Game Event Crew will consist of:
- DJ’s
- Minor officials to score keep
- Concession Stand Attendants
- Media
- Hosts to welcome our visiting opponents to our Lions’ Den for all our home game events, starting with our volleyball season, followed by our basketball season.
If you’re interested, please come sign up in Mr. St-Louis’s room # 109 at lunch this week. There will be some perk as a crew member.
Girls’ “A” Volleyball – Congratulation on defeating Ecole Somme three sets to one. Practice tomorrow after school from 2:10 pm to 4:10 pm.
Girls Soccer - Attention all girls soccer players, please return your CLEAN & WASHED jerseys to Mr. Burke ASAP. Grade 6 students, you can return your CLEAN & WASHED jerseys to Madame Vallis in the modular
Girls’ “B” Volleyball – Practice is today and tomorrow at lunch. Bring your lunch to the gym.
Dance – Our Halloween dance is today from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm. Last chance to get your tickets for $5.00 during lunch time in the lobby. Limited tickets are also available at the door for $ 7.00.
Student Council – Meeting is today at lunch in Ms. Parker’s room #207.
Fairview Pride Club –Meeting is today in Ms. Beaton's room 222 during the second half of lunch (from 11:20 till 12:05). This meeting is open to anyone interested.
Dungeons and Dragons - D&D club will meet today after school until 4pm in room 208. Grade 6s will meet in room 305 (Ms. Cooper’s classroom) in the modular directly after the bell. Please let Mr. Kloppenburg, Mr. Burke, or Ms. Cooper know if you can't attend.
Boys Soccer - There will be a mandatory team meeting for the boys' soccer team tomorrow at lunch in Ms. Kehler's room #228. Please make sure to attend, as we’ll be wrapping up the season and taking care of some team business. All jerseys must be returned at or before the meeting in order to participate in the team activities.
Lost-and-Found – Students please check the lost-and-found items. There are a lot of water bottles as well as jackets. Last chance! Everything will be packed tomorrow by the end of the day.
Fairview Remembers - The Remembrance Day team is asked to meet in Ms. Melanson's room 112 next Monday, November 2nd at 12:20 pm after homeroom time to finalize the details of the Remembrance Cay Ceremony. If you still want to volunteer or help out with this day, please come meet with us at this time
Poster contest – Remembrance Day Poster contest will run until next Friday, November 6th. Prizes awarded in each grade level. Artworks must be related to Remembrance and include the students name and homeroom number. Artworks may be turned in to Ms. Melanson’s room 112 before/after school or at lunchtime or to the office.
