Pink Shirt Day - Today is Stand up against bullying Day. It began in 2007 when a student in Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. It has since been recognized annually worldwide as a day to stand against bullying.
Girls’ "A" Volleyball - The grade 6s and 7s tryouts for the volleyball team will be today at lunch hour. Bring your lunch to the gym.
Boys’ Soccer – There will be a tryout today after school in the field unless it’s raining. If it’s raining, we’ll meet in the gym. Everyone who is interested, welcome to come. If you’d like to tryout but cannot make it today, please see Ms. Kehler or Ms. Vallis.
Boys’ Volleyball – If you’re interested in trying out for the Fairview Lions Boys’ volleyball team, you need to sign up by the end of the day tomorrow. Sign-up sheet is in Mr. St. Louis’s room # 109. Tryouts will be next Monday, September 14th, Wednesday, September 16th and Friday, September 18th. All the tryouts are after school, from 3:30 pm till 4:30 pm.
Student Council - Any students that are interested in becoming a Student Council member this year, please pick up an application form from the main office. Final date to submit an application form is tomorrow. Bring your completed form to the office.
Lost-and-Found – If you’re in grade 7 French Immersion class and lost your blue binder, come to the office to get it.
