Girl’s Soccer - Congratulations to the girls Soccer team who won their season opener yesterday against Oxford 6-0. Team captains Nahla MacKenzie and Layla Thompson each had a goal while scoring sensation Khadija Al Kurdi netted two, one shy of a hat trick and those two promised Gatorade's. Rookie grade 9 Charlie Rodd and returning grade 7 Lilly Steven's rounded out the scoring. Goal keeping phenom Ruby Burgess recorded her first shut out of the season. It was a full team effort to secure our victory. Way to go Lions!
Our next game is Monday, September 28th at 4:00 pm at Glenbourne field. As this is not our normal field, if you need transportation to the game, please let Mr. Burke or madame Vallis know ASAP.
Boys’ Soccer – We’re playing today against Oxford School at Glenbourne Field, from 5:15 pm till 6:25 pm. If you cannot be at the game, let Ms. Kehler or Ms. Vallis know as soon as possible.
Girls’ “B” Volleyball - First practice is today at lunch. Bring your lunch to the gym.
Math Extra Help - If you are in grade 6 or 7 and would like some extra help with math, or math homework listen up! There will be peer tutoring available from grade 9 students, every Thursday at lunch. This will be held in Mrs. Chambers room # 110. The first ten students to arrive will get a spot for that day.
Picture Day – There will be Picture Day for all school next Thursday, October 1st, in the library. It’s all-day event. The classes will be called down.
PD Day – There will be PD Day tomorrow, no school for students! Enjoy your long weekend. We’ll see you on Monday.
