Orange Shirt Day - Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced. This day reminds us that “Every Child Matters”.
There is no school tomorrow - Please utilize September 30 as a day of reflection and further learning.
Girls’ “B” Volleyball - Practice is today at lunch. Please bring your lunch to the gym.
Dungeons and Dragons - There will be a brief meeting for returning D&D club members only today at the start of lunch in room 208. All members will meet next Wednesday, October 7th after school.

Student Council - Due to the holiday, there will be no Student Council meeting this week. Please come to the next meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7 @ 11:20am in Room 207.
Math Extra Help - If you are in grade 6 or 7 and would like some extra help with math, or math homework listen up! There will be peer tutoring available from grade 9 students, every Thursday at lunch. This will be held in Mrs. Chambers room # 110. The first ten students to arrive will get a spot for that day.
Picture Day – There will be Picture Day for all school on Thursday in the library. It’s all-day event. The classes will be called down.
