• October is Mi'kmaq History Month - It is estimated that over 150,000 First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, between the ages of 4 and 16 years old, attended Indian residential schools in Canada. To date, according to conservative estimates from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, approximately 4,100 to 6,000 children died amid abuse and neglect while in the residential school system.


• Jr. Boys Soccer - Our team won their first game of the season against Halifax Grammar School 2-0. Zeyad Dahab and Max White scored the goals and the defense locked down the second half with 2 big saves from Keeper Ethan Burgess. Next game is tomorrow against Park West at the Glenbourne Soccer Field at 5:15pm.


• Math/Science Club – If you need any assistance on these subjects, please come to see Ms. Qadi today during lunch time in room # 118.


• GSA - First meeting will be today in room 104 during lunch time. See you there!


• Girls A Volleyball – There will be a practice today at lunch for everyone except the Left Side players. If you are not sure which position you are playing, see Mr. Gallagher.


• Cross Country - There will be a short meeting today in the library at the start of lunch. All runners must attend.


• Yearbook Club – There will be the first sign up meeting tomorrow at lunch in the library.


• Girls B Volleyball - Practices will be every Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtime in the gym starting tomorrow. Bring your lunch to the gym on these days.


• HeArt Art Program – The program is starting next Tuesday, October 18. If you’re interested in joining, please see Ms. Caines or you can sign up in the office.

• Best Buddies - Please check your gnspes for interview times. There will also be a first session tomorrow at lunchtime in room 160. 

• Picture Day – Will be on Friday, October 14. Classes will be called down.


• Lost-and-Found – If you lost your earing, please come to the office to get it.
