• Pop Whiz - Are you super quick with facts and trivia?  Then why not audition for a TV show?  Pop Whiz is a kid's game show, and they are looking for talented students here in Halifax.  There will be a QR code on Mr. Drake's door after school today if you would like to sign up and start the audition process.

• Spirit Week – Today is Creative Hat Day and next Monday, May 8th is a Meme Day. You have the whole weekend to get your Meme ready. Student Council will be doing voting for the best meme during lunch time.

• Red Dress Day - In 2010, a Metis artist named Jaime Black, began an art project that would shake the nation. Jaime Black began the REDress Project, an art installation where she hung hundreds of empty red dresses to represent the countless missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and gender diverse people in this country.
Red was chosen because it is both a symbol of vitality and violence. Jaime Black was also taught that red is the only colour spirits can see and can be used to connect spirits with their loved ones. May 5th has become a national day for awareness, so tomorrow Friday May 5, and wear red to show your support!
