Lunar New Year 2021 -  We are in the middle of the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations. 2021 is the year of the Ox.  The Lunar New Year, also called spring festival, began on the eve of February 11th and will continue until February 26th. During Lunar New Year people decorate their doors using red posters with poetic verses and red lanterns to welcome the new year. People get together with their families to celebrate the festival. During this time there are fireworks and firecrackers set off in order to bring good luck. Many people will wear new clothes, often in red, and share Chinese New Year greetings with their loved ones.
