October is Mi'kmaq History Month - Indian residential schools operated in all Canadian provinces and territories except Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland.

Girls Soccer – Congratulations to the Fairview team who tied their game last night! Shout out to Maya for being a strong presence in midfield; to Stephanie for running hard all game and not letting up; and Anna for making an impact and continuously bringing the ball to the net. Excellent work, girls!

Student Council - If you are interested in joining student council there will be an information session today in Miss Fitzpatrick's room 203 at 11:40.

Girls “A” Volleyball - There will be a practice today at lunch and after school, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM.

Cross Country - Running practice is cancelled today due to bad weather.

Space Club - There will be a meeting today after school at 2:25 in room 222.

Boys Soccer – The game is today at 4PM at Glenbourne field. We will update after lunch if it is cancelled due to rain.

Co-Ed Flag Football - The second try-out will be held tomorrow after school on the field. Please bring athletic apparel and cleats. Any questions see Mr. A in room 222.
GSA - Fairview GSA is starting back up! GSA is a student-led club that stands for gender sexuality alliance. It is a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ students here at Fairview as well as their allies. Our first meeting will be next Wednesday, October 12 in room 104. See you there!

D & D Club - Do you enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, or are you interested in learning? Fairview is starting a D & D club which will meet every second Tuesday after school. If you are interested, please attend a short meeting on next Tuesday, October 11th at lunchtime in room 104 to help determine interest and create player groups. No prior experience is needed!!
